black screen
The screen is black. I can still get calls, but I cannot see who is calling me! So if you call me leave a message and leave your number so I know to call you back and what your number is...this is kinda funny! Also, if you have sent me a text I cannot read it! So I'm not being rude, I just do not know you texted me! So sorry. I should be able to get a new phone when Kevin come back home, which will be Saturday. Till then I'm stuck with a bum phone and two sick kids!!!
Adios -

thank you America

I have not posted much about my political views. I know some of my readers do not agree with my victorious feelings. However, I could not let this historical election go by without posting...it is a moment I want to be able to look back on forever.
My dad got a letter from a business friend who lives in Belgium and it is so eloquent...he really expresses what so many Americans are thinking and feeling...and so many people around the world. I want to share it with you and leave it at that. God bless America and God bless Barack Obama...our next President!
Dear Jim ,
Congratulations on having a new president elect for the United States !
Worldwide there is acclaim and hope to return to the United states of America we all have in our minds since our childhood , to openness , regain of personal liberties , trust , beacon of light , multicultural true democracy with respect of the own typical values , less military , more humanity and compassion , an example for the world , a real leader by inspiration but not by force . The issue is historical but the challenges have never been so dramatic . Recovery of the financial system , encourage free trade (!) , decisions that will impact on the global warming and the energy issue , war issues , environmental & water issues . But again , in the American people we trust !
New hope & determination “ yes , we can “ is offered to all . Realization will of course require enormous effort , but the main thing is determination more than easy victory .
With one wipe of the sponge , the Americans have regained respect of all . Happy times !
Kind regards/Frank

little monkey

After dane goes to sleep we get some quality one-on-one with glory-bell, I love that time with her -

Glory is my little angel. She's so smiley and sweet. She loves everyone and will melt your heat with her big blue eyes. Yes, blue! People comment to me on how dark her eyes are, and they are dark, but dark BLUE. You just have to look closely.
Dane is the reason I call this entry, "little monkey." My little monkey man shimmied his crib rail twice today. Big sigh. I am not ready for him to rule the big boy bed. I like knowing he is safe and snug in his crib. I like knowing he is still my little boy in his little crib. Yeah, I know, "let go Mom." It is so hard! He's so funny, though. The first time he got out I went in his room and he was putting his books on the bookshelf - ha ha - how can you discipline the little guy for cleaning up!?! I had to talk to him about staying in his crib. He didn't. However, after the second time he climbed over I watched him on the video monitor and shouted "lay down, Dane!" when he tried to do it again. He listened and went to sleep. We'll see where this goes...

trick-or-treat!

Dane's chatting with Grandma Ellie here, he mostly liked suckers, he didn't care much for wearing his costume... It was so funny because we obviously had to teach him how to trick-or-treat. At the first house he just stopped at the front steps and dropped his bucket. At the second house he went to the garage!
